“Being an educator for 25 years, I can safely say that although a high quality preschool education must tap into a child’s academic potential, and Broad View French Montessori does this very well, the most important aspect is to develop the child’s self-confidence so they themselves can view advancement as a possibility rather than an obstacle. Broad View French Montessori, under the direction of Madame Christiane Gervais as well as the staff, have helped to make our 6 year old a confident and curious child who views school as a positive part of her day. “The staff is attentive and encouraged our daughter to become an independent life-learner. I can’t believe that she could do multiplication and division at the age of 5! She is also an impressive reader – in both French and English. Broad View French Montessori offers a perfect balance between focused work and imaginative play, which in turn instills discipline and creativity in children. My daughter loved her teachers, and I know the teachers care deeply for their students. There should be no hesitation whatsoever for any parent to send their child to Broad View French Montessori. Had the school offered an elementary school curriculum (i.e. Grade 1 and up), there is absolutely no question that our daughter would have continued to attend the school. We sincerely admire Madame Christiane Gervais and her staff for carrying out such outstanding work, and we are genuinely grateful to have been able to give our daughter a superior education in the hands of such wonderful teachers.”

With very different personalities, aptitudes and learning styles, both our girls have thrived in the Toddler and the CASA programs. They also have a good understanding of the French language. It’s amazing to hear your 2 year old sing ‘Oh Canada’ from start to finish in French! Aside from these fundamentals, the structured environment offered by Mme Christiane and her staff teaches politeness, manners and positive interaction with other children. “I am very pleased with the education that my son has been receiving at the Broad View French Montessori School. He has learned so much during his time there. He excels in the routine and structure that is offered. He comes home singing new songs or telling me about the activities or crafts that he did that day. He has taken many steps towards independence under the guidance of the staff. I was surprised to see him putting on his own mittens the other day and when asked who showed him that, he casually said ‘Les Madames’. I also appreciate the manners that they are teaching him there, the handshakes, tidying up, keeping clean, etc. During his time at Broad View French Montessori School, my son has made some very valuable friendships and bonded with his teachers. “We have had our spirited daughter at the Broad View French Montessori School for two years where she has greatly excelled. She is currently in the French only program and her French is improving weekly. She is learning geography, mathematics, and activties of daily living. We have felt so pleased with the school, we have recently enrolled our 18 month old in the daycare program. His caregivers are also very loving and excellent with children.
